Chief Warrant Officer-4 Andrew Hart enlisted in the United Sates Marine Corps in March 1982 from Syracuse, NY. Upon completion of boot camp at MCRD Parris Island, SC he attended the Basic Law Enforcement Academy at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. Upon graduation he was assigned to Presidential Security Duty with Marine Helicopter Squadron-1. In October 1985 he was meritoriously promoted to Sergeant and assigned as the Assistant-Non Commissioned Officer in Charge of the S-2 section. In October 1986 he graduated from Recruiters School, MCRD, San Diego, CA, and assigned as a canvassing recruiter in Syracuse, NY. In March 1989 he assumed the duties as the Battalion Intelligence Chief, 8th Tank Battalion, 4th Marine Division. He deployed in November 1990 with 8th Tanks in support of Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In July 1991 he returned to Recruiting Duty at Recruiting Station Albany, NY, where he served as a multi-man station NCOIC. He transferred to Recruiting Station Buffalo, NY in October 1992, where he served as a multi-man station NCOIC, Assistant Recruiter Instructor, MEPS Liaison. In October 1997 he was promoted to Master Sergeant and assigned as the Recruiter Instructor. In February 1998 he was commissioned as one of the Marine Corps’ first Chief Warrant Officers in Recruiting Command. Upon completion of the Basic School in Quantico, VA he was assigned as the Operations Officer Recruiting Station Columbia, SC, In February 2001 he was promoted to CWO-3 and reassigned as the Contact Team Officer, 6th Marine District in June 2001. He was selected for promotion to Chief Warrant Officer-4 in August 2003 and reassigned as the Operations and Training Officer, Eastern Recruiting Region, MCRD, Parris Island, SC. He retired from active duty in February 2006. - In July 2009 Chief Warrant Officer Hart accepted his current position as the Senior Naval Science Instructor, South Florence High School. Chief Warrant Officer’s Personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal, w/2gold stars, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Presidential Service Badge and the Combat Action Ribbon. He is married to the former Temple Bradish of Hastings NY; they have 3 daughters, Jennifer who currently resides with her husband in Ft. Bliss, TX, Lauren a junior at Francis Marion University and Emily who is a sophomore at Ridgeview High School.
